Green Garden Mint Elixir

The Ritual

Wellness Introduction: A simple botanical water with cucumber, mint, and lime that makes hydration feel more composed and intentional.

Why this Ritual: The ingredients are fresh and familiar, while the preparation creates a small but noticeable break in the middle of the day.

Ingredients

250 ml chilled still or sparkling water

4–5 cucumber slices; 6–8 fresh mint leaves

1 teaspoon fresh lime juice

1 thin fennel slice (optional)

Ice, (optional).

Details

Ritual Mood: Fresh, spacious, restorative.

Category: Elixirs

Best Time: Midday or early afternoon.

Method

Add the cucumber, mint, lime, and optional fennel to a glass. Gently press the ingredients once or twice with the back of a spoon, add ice, and top with water. Allow it to stand for 5–10 minutes before drinking.

Notes

For a stronger flavour, prepare it in advance and refrigerate for up to 12 hours. Add sparkling water immediately before serving.

Caution

Mint and lime may aggravate reflux symptoms for some people. Fennel may also be unsuitable for people with specific allergies or sensitivities. Omit any ingredient that does not suit you.

Benefits

This elixir may support daily hydration while providing small amounts of vitamin C and plant compounds from lime, mint, cucumber, and fennel. Mint may support a feeling of digestive freshness for some people, while the aroma may help make a hydration pause feel more appealing. It should not be presented as a detoxifying or medicinal drink.

For Best Benefits

Keep the glass visible during the afternoon and return to it before reaching for another coffee
